Rabbi Shmuley says Madonna is a "slut", and in Shmuley's world she is - anyone who has read his book,
would know that. But, there's something offputting about him excoriating the Kabbalah Centre for making Madonna their poster child when he spent years paling around with Michael Jackson. At least Madonna always played with adults...
By the way, apparently, Madonna has chosen "Esther"as her Hebrew name. Isn't Esther actually Persian? I thought Hadassah was the Hebrew version.
There you have it: Coke's new, low-carb formula, C2 officially sucks. I mean if the great Yourish says so, it must be true; those idiots at Coca-Cola don't know what they're doing. But if I may be so bold as to make a small point: not everyone has the same tastes...
Admittedly, I have yet to try C2 in it's current form, but a few months ago I was part of a focus group saddled with the task of trying a 6 pack of what is now C2 .(It had a different name back then, a name I won't reveal for fear of incurring the wrath of the Atlanta based behemoth.) As someone who uttely detests Diet Coke, I didn't think it was half bad; it tasted like a 50/50 mixture of Coke and Diet-Coke, and similar to the European Coke Light. My fiancée, on the other hand, being a Diet Coke fiend, thought that the new formula was too sweet. Go figure. Most of the other folks on the panel I was on really liked the new low carb formula. Obviously this was the general trend that Coca-Cola found, otherwise they'd probably not have released C2. Too bad Coke dared cross the discerning taste buds of the great Yourish!
During our panel discussion we were given some proposed product names and bottle designs to comment on. Obviously they didn't listen to me since I chose neither "C2" nor the bottle design. In fact, when they suggested "C2" I said, C2...electric boogaloo and got a laugh from the panel. Now, after looking at the packaging, it looks more like "C2... rise of the machines."
This powerful speech given by Anne Byefsky at the U.N. at a conference on Confronting Anti-Semitism: Education for Tolerance and Understanding should be required reading for well, everyone, but especially anyone who is at all sympathetic towards Israel. In fact the litany of anti-Semitism and discrimination she rattles off should be committed to memory.
I am heartened (slightly) to see that the UN actually managed to host a conference on anti-Semitism, although it's barely been reported in the media. And let's be honest, this conference is mostly likely a bone thrown to those pesky Jews to shut them up. When most of the UN member states comprise or are beholden to the semtex laden, oil greased cock of the Arab world, nothing Ms. Bayefsky or anyone else says is going to make a damned bit of difference.

Last night my heart was filled with love and prayers, but today it is filled with hatred. Last night I was not a racist, but today I feel racism toward Islamic beliefs." Last night Islamics had a chance to speak up for Paul Johnson, but today it was too late. ... Today Islamics better wake up and start thinking about tomorrow."
Thus read the sign posted outside the home of the sister of Paul Johnson, the latest American to be beheaded by Muslim terrorists.
As unquestionably hate-filled and thus morally reprehensible as such language is, when Americans express such hatred towards Muslims or encourage support for those who 'kill Arabs' they do so with the reasonably justifiable self-image of victim and persecuted, not of victimizer and persecutor.
Is that not acceptable? Why not? Sauce for the goose as they say.
